Submission #1, Almost Done 2011-2020

The facility is old with run down buildings built in the 60′s. The administration seems to try to make things very difficult for the students, in that, the requirements to graduate once you are in the clinic are horrendous. Many students have to stay an extra term to finish up. We are an “evidence-based” school, but that comes with a huge price on the student. My impression of the faculty is they like to demean the students. We have to memorize exam flows every week to perform them in a highly pressured situation on a DC or simulator and in the following week they drill us and tear into our abilities to chart the results during the flow and perform the flow with precision. I feel rushed all the time and I truly believe this decreases quality in our education. A lot of expectation is put on us and it seems the faculty don’t want to lift a finger to help, just demoralize us for not doing things right. There isn’t much understanding for our situation and it seems as if those in charge love to watch the students squirm under pressure. It is what it is. I have 1 year left and I can’t wait to be done.
